Together with Ballance agri-nutrients we are developing green urea that is produced from renewable energy and water instead of fossil fuels.
The hydrogen will also be used to power heavy vehicles that are essential for our primary industries.

Who are we currently working with?
The New Zealand economy is heavily dependent on primary industries including dairy, agriculture and forestry. These industries are significant consumers of diesel for transport, and are looking for practical solutions to reduce their carbon emissions.
Larger operations can reduce emissions by adopting hydrogen technology for their heavy trucking and materials handling operations.
Typical hub operations such as log delivery to ports, or milk delivery to dairy factories are a good application for hydrogen technology for transport.
Additional gains may be made by a combined systems approach where renewable energy is combined with hydrogen and heat and power generation.
Waste streams can also be utilised for the production of hydrogen. Larger scale operations are best suited to these solutions.

They deliver constant voltage reducing wear on truck motor controllers. Fuel cells also have an improved lifetime of 8-10 years resulting in a lower lifetime cost and reduced impact on operations

Refuelling stations have a small footprint and generation and storage equipment can be installed outside or on roof space, eliminating the significant indoor space required for battery charging and storage rooms

Zero emission solution, and reduces the disposal of batteries. Fuel cells have lower carbon footprint than batteries and are 95% recyclable

Fuel cell electric trucks can have similar range to diesel, with some designs exceeding diesel

Hydrogen fuel cell cars are simple with few moving parts. This will lead to reduced maintenance costs and extended vehicle life
